What's the Frequency, Kenneth? es una canción y un sencillo del álbum Monster de la banda estadounidense de rock alternativo R.E.M.. Fue publicado el 5 de septiembre de 1994 llegando al número 21 en Estados Unidos y al 9 en Reino Unido. Aparece en el disco recopilatorio In Time: The Best of R.E.M. 1988-2003 y en su versión en vivo en el disco R.E.M. Live dado que es una de las canciones más veces tocadas del grupo.

El nombre de la canción (según cuenta Peter Buck en el libro de notas del disco In Time: The Best of R.E.M. 1988-2003) proviene de un incidente que tuvo el periodista norteamericano Dan Rather cuando fue espontáneamente atacado por un desconocido que gritó: Kenneth, what's the frequency? .

El tema también está incluido en la recopilación de grandes éxitos In time: the Best of R.E.M 1988-2003 y en 1993 alcanzó el lugar 29 en la lista Billboard de Estados Unidos y el lugar 7 en Reino Unido.

La voz femenina que se puede oír en la canción es la voz de Kate Pierson (cantante del grupo B-52), quién también aparece en el video- clip junto con Michael Stipe y los demás miembros de la banda

Llegó a al número 10 en el Billboard Hot 100 estadounidense, siendo el cuarto sencillo hasta la fecha en llegar al top 10 en Estados Unidos. También llegó al número 1 en el Reino Unido siendo la primera canción de R.E.M. en llegar aun puesto tan alto en este país.

A pesar de llegar a ser uno de sus mayores éxitos, la canción no está incluida en el álbum recopilatorio In Time: The Best of R.E.M. 1988-2003.

Orange Crush es la séptima canción del sexto álbum de R.E.M. Green y su segundo sencillo. Fue su segunda canción #1 en las listas de US Modern Rock y US Mainstream Rock después de Stand. Esta canción fue colocada como la octava canción de su compilación In Time: The Best of R.E.M. 1988-2003. De acuerdo con el guitarrista Peter Buck, dice que ha tocado esta canción más de 100 veces y aún no entiende su significado.
